Needles To Moab MTB Tours

At The Heart of Canyonlands

The Confluence Overlook in Canyonlands National Park

This GREAT itinerary starts with a mountain bike ride and short hike in The Needles District of Canyonlands National Park and finishes with a point-to-point MTB ride through Lockhart Basin all the way back to Moab!

We start this trip with a 2 hour shuttle from Moab early on the first day.  In route we’ll stop to view a famous historical petroglyph panel called Newspaper Rock before we enter the Park.  Once inside the Needles District we’ll ride bikes among the towering monolithic spires that give this area its name to a trailhead for a short hike to view the confluence of the Green and Colorado Rivers.

For the next three days we’ll ride through the incredible Lockhart Basin traveling north on a rough and rustic route that parallels the Colorado River just outside of the Park.  This area is scenically rewarding, packed with cultural historic sites and offers a true taste of the Wild West!
